If you choose to make joints, place the safety eye inside the arm and push the back through the fabric 3 rows down from the top of arm. Center the joint as evenly as possible. Lay the monkey flat, where the fabric folds on the sides is where you will place the arms. Push the post through the body 2 rows down from the head. Secure the eye inside the body with washer. Sew up the top of arm with remaining length of yarn and weave in ends. Or simply sew the arms to the body.

Optional Arm Joints
For jointed arms without using a pair of safety eyes, try using a length of yarn. With a long needle sew the tops of both arms closed. Then sew the arms together through the body. This will form a kind of axis that with arms will rotate on. Sew back and forth four times to form a strong axis and then weave in ends to finish off.
